The Secretariat General has the duty to coordinate the implementation of tasks, provide institutional guidance, and deliver administrative support to all organizational units within the Ministry.

Based on Minister of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 21 of 2024, Article 10, in carrying out the aforementioned duties, the Secretariat General performs the following functions:
  1. Coordination of Ministry activities;
  2. Coordination and formulation of the Ministry’s plans, programs, and budget;
  3. Institutional development and provision of administrative support, including general administration, human resources, finance, household affairs, cooperation, public relations, archives, and documentation within the Ministry;
  4. Organizational development and institutional governance reform;
  5. Coordination and drafting of laws and regulations, as well as implementation of legal advocacy;
  6. Coordination and administration of state property/assets management and public procurement management; and
  7. Performance of other functions assigned by the Minister.
